Southern Ohio Forest Rally Expands Entry List After Overwhelming Support
Organizers of the Southern Ohio Forest Rally are pleased to announce that, after only eight days of open registration, the event has already hit its maximum of 60 competitor registrations. In response, SOFR organizers have made adjustments to the event schedule to accommodate an additional ten entries, for a total of 70.
“After receiving such overwhelming support from both the local community and interested competitors, we wanted to ensure that we don’t turn away anybody who wants to compete in the inaugural Southern Ohio Forest Rally,” said SOFR co-chairman’s Pat Moro and Jeremiah Johnson. “The response has been nothing but positive to the event, as seen by the 30 entries we received on the first day of registration alone. We’re incredibly grateful for everybody’s support, especially the help from our friends at Sno*Drift, Rally in the 100 Acre Wood, and the Lake Superior Performance Rally. We can’t wait for May!”
The inaugural Southern Ohio Forest Rally, comprised of the Scioto Trail Rally and Zaleski Forest Rally, will comprise Rounds 5 and 6 of the 2017 Rally America national championship. Scheduled for this May 19-20, the event will see the return of some of the most fabled stage roads in North American rally.
