SNO*DRIFT PROVES TOUGH FOR YEOMAN, FY RACING
2011 Rally America “Rookie of the Year” Adam Yeoman and co-driver Jordan Schulze had their work cut out for them this last weekend at the Sno*Drift 2012 event. The first stop of the Rally America National Championship in Atlanta, MI gave way to some of the toughest stages the team has ever navigated, putting them in twelfth place overall.
“Sno*Drift was a tough start to the season. Even knowing that the conditions would be treacherous, the lack of grip caught me off guard from start,” says Yeoman. The first few stages were the worst for the pair from Houghton, MI. The 425 car left the road multiple times and got a flat almost instantly. A malfunctioning jack in the service area caused even more problems. “ I think we had more drama in the first stage than we've had in our entire rally career so far. After that, I just wanted to make it the finish,” mentions Adam.
The team is already hard at work prepping the car for the 100 Acre Wood Rally on February 24th and 25th in Salem, MO. “This was certainly not our best performance, but we were able to bring the car home undamaged. We are well into prepping for 100 Acre Wood already and I can't wait to be fighting again on the gravel,” says Yeoman.
