Driver // Christy Carlson
Grew up on a farm in Northeast Nebraska. Started amateur racing in 2005 with SCCA Solo, and is now a National Champion in SCCA Solo, first woman to trophy in any SCCA National Rallycross Championship, and the first woman to ever win an SCCA Rallycross Challenge. She is also the first person to successfully earn trophies in both SCCA Rallycross and SCCA Solo on the National level in the same year.
This year she worked tirelessly with a crew of friends to build an open-class Rally America car from the ground-up. First campaigned in the 2011 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb as one of only 5 women drivers to challenge the peak that year, the car has been completely rebuilt with a new engine and is ready to rally. In 2012 fastest driver in the shortened due-to-weather course up Pikes Peak, covering over 6 miles in 5 minutes 15 seconds in the wet.
Christy is known as an avid storm chaser. She has a Masters in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma, and is working towards a Ph.D. in Meteorology from the University of Nebraska.
