Andi Mancin

I owe the passion to motorsports to my family background. My father is an Italian, and I lived for some years next to Turin from which there is not far to famous Monza circuit. As a teenager I visited it a lot of times. I have fallen in love with the sound of race cars at once. Then I made a decision to try my own hand at motorsports. I started with scrambling. In January 2004 I was granted the sporting license, which allowed me to compete in car racing. Afterwards I met Maciej Stanco a very experienced Polish race driver with whom I set up a corporate team: RAM Racing. In 2004 I competed in European Alfa Challenge behind the wheel of Alfa Romeo 147 GTA. My debut was a special thing, since it took place at Monza circuit. As it often happens, I have to pay through the nose for my inexperience. Another driver pushed me out of the road and that was the end of my maiden race. Then I realized that car racing is the kind of sport where perfect car set-up and strong mentality matters. At the same time I tried my best at long-distance races as well as Polish Racing Championship. All in all I won three championship titles in 2004 season.

I decided to continue my adventure with Alfa Romeo 147 GTA in 2005. I must admit that it was a mistake. I had no access to the latest technological innovations, which resulted in finishing races at distant positions. In the meantime I took up rallying. I started my career in Polish Rally Cup and my machine was N-Technology prepared Fiat Stilo Abarth. Soon rallying became all my life. I made my mind to give up car racing. Paradoxically I achieved the best ever result during my final race at Oschersleben circuit in Germany.

At present I’ve been rallying in Polish Rally Championship using Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX build by my company IM Racing in Poland.
